BASIC FUNCTION

 

The purpose of this position is to Train Student Athletes in Strength & Conditioning at VUL.

 

NATURE AND SCOPE

 

The ideal candidate is clear that their purpose and passion in life is coaching adults and youth athletes to achieve their health and performance goals. They are committed to continuous improvement toward the goal of maximizing their skillset as a health and performance coach and are looking for the type of environment where they are able to focus primarily on that objective long term with a growing company and team that will provide them with opportunities for personal and professional growth as well as the ability to have a positive impact on more people than they would by themselves.

 
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Create, deliver, and implement comprehensive training programs for VUL athletes.
  • Provide the highest level of coaching to athletes in small group and 1 on 1 training environments.
  • Complete body composition, posture, movement and athletic performance assessments with athletes.
  • Assist or lead workshops and presentations on health, fitness, and athletic performance.
  • Assist with marketing activities like creating informative social media posts, videos, and writing blogs.
  • Effectively communicate with team members, providing high level customer service.
  • Assist in facility organization and presentation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

LICENSES / CERTIFICATES / EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Strength and Conditioning/Personal Training Certification (CSCS & FMS preferred)
  • Valid CPR/AED certification required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year in this role (Preferred)
