The pandemic left a lot of questions for athletes around the world the past 2 years, but the VUL Dragons were still fortunate to see action in 2021. 

The Dragons had a tough season last year while testing their might against noteable programs like Delaware State, Norfolk State, and Duquesne University. Under the leadership of newly appointed head coach Tim Newman, the Dragons were still able to pull out two wins with their young roster and break the school scoring record in their win 71-8 win over Fort Lauderdale.

With these these contests now under their belt, they have garnered 2022 matchups against South Carolina State (10/15) and Savannah State (10/8), who went undefeated at home during their 2021 campaign.
