He is a native of Lynchburg, VA. He graduated from Rustburg, VA, joined the military and retired in 2006 as a Major. He started coaching women’s basketball and teaching at Gretna High School in 2007 where he turned the basketball program into a local powerhouse. He then moved to Patrick and Henry community college where he successfully made it to a playoff berth each year.
