Coach Washington enters his second season as an assistant coach on the Virginia University of Lynchburg football staff. He will be coaching the defensive line. After spending the past spring with the UVA-Wise football program, he comes to VUL as the defensive line coach. Before going to UVA-Wise, Washington worked with the defensive line as a graduate assistant at Quincy University. Their defense led all of Division II in turnovers with 32 total turnovers.

Before coaching at Quincy, Coach Washington spent six years playing college football. His first four years (2017-2021) were spent at Old Dominion University where he played defensive line and was on special teams for the Monarchs. His last two years (2021-2022) were spent at Western Illinois University where he also played defensive line and was on special teams for the Leathernecks. Coach Washington graduated with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management in 2021. Coach Washington is a Virginia native of Virginia Beach, where he played football and graduated from Tallwood High School in 2017 while being an All-Conference selection.
